The ACTION project provides resources for organizations in a variety of formats. Downloadable resources include summaries and case studies related to previous successful research projects. Technical assistance includes in-person trainings, webinars, video chats, and phone calls.

EPICO: Education to Promote Improved Cancer Outcomes is a tailored training program on prevention, treatment and healthy survivorship for colorectal, breast and cervical cancers among at-risk residents living in South Texas along the U.S.-Mexico border. The focal strategy was to train and utilize promotoras to deliver tailored education that improves access to comprehensive cancer services for Hispanic residents.

ACTION: Fact Sheet provides a summary of the ACTION project and highlights the project’s accomplishments.

ACTION: Success Story is from one of the National Community Health Worker Training Center’s Instructors of whom presented an in-person CHW training in south Texas (Rio Grande City).

Texas C-STEP: Texas Cancer Screening, Training, Education and Prevention Program provides critical safety-net services, such as cancer screenings and certain advanced diagnostics, to uninsured underserved and low-income Texans through an established family medicine residency training program.
